Before any of this, I was a chartered accountant. Corporate finance, ten-plus years, very competent, very good at being in rooms I didn't quite belong in. I knew how to make myself manageable. I knew how to be the person the situation required. I was very, very good at it — and it cost me a great deal that I didn't fully understand until my life fell apart.
I didn't choose to walk away from it. The choice was made for me, in the way those things sometimes are. What followed was a rebuild from nothing. And in that rebuild I did the Sacred Whispers work first — the slow, difficult work of understanding what had actually happened to me, what my nervous system had been carrying, why I kept ending up in the same kinds of situations with the same kinds of people. Not blaming myself. Just understanding.
And then I arrived at the F*CK Staying Silent phase. The what now. The choosing something different, on purpose, with my eyes open. The refusing to make myself small again because it was easier for everyone else.
This work is built from both of those experiences. Not just the rebuilding, but the fact that I lived both pathways from the inside. I know what it feels like to need the quiet door first. I know what it feels like to be ready to roar and have nowhere to put it.
"I'm not here to tell you who to be. I'm here to help you remember who you already were — before survival required so much of your attention."
How I work
I am not an authority who tells you what to do or who you should become. I work from what I call the Companion Model — a recognition that meaningful change cannot be forced from the outside. Insight, readiness, and action have to come from you. My role is not to direct. It is to accompany.
The content and coaching I create function in three ways. As a mirror — helping you recognise yourself, your patterns, your internal world, sometimes for the first time. As a map — helping you understand the terrain you've been navigating. And as a companion voice — one that reminds you that you are not alone in any of this, and that the horizon is still there even when you can't see it.
I don't measure success by how quickly you take action. I measure it by whether you leave each piece of work feeling less alone, less ashamed, and more able to trust your own perception.
The work I do is grounded in established psychology — specifically identity development theory (Marcia's identity statuses and the concept of delayed moratorium), trauma-informed frameworks, interpersonal neurobiology, and nervous system regulation. These are not frameworks I invented. They are frameworks built by researchers over decades, which I have spent years studying, applying, and translating into language real people can actually use.
I am currently completing my Master's in Psychology and Counselling Studies at Birmingham City University. This is not a credential I wave around to establish authority. It is the formal container for work I was already doing — a way of ensuring that the theoretical underpinning is as rigorous as the lived experience it sits alongside.
Soulful Horizons is not a clinical or therapeutic service. Nothing here replaces professional mental health support. But the intellectual foundation of this work is sound — and the women who engage with it deserve to know that.
Training and background
"The women I work with are not broken. They are exhausted from holding too much for too long, in rooms that were never really designed with them in mind. The work is not about becoming someone new. It is about stopping doing the thing where you erase yourself before anyone else can."
Questions I get asked
No. Coaching and therapy are different things, and it is important to be honest about that distinction. Coaching is forward-facing and action-oriented. Therapy provides a clinical container for processing past experiences with a trained and regulated clinician. If you are in crisis or need clinical support, I will always encourage you to seek that. Soulful Horizons is not a substitute for it.
No. You don't have to use that word at all if it doesn't fit your experience. Many women who engage with this work would not describe themselves as survivors. They just know that something has been wrong, and they are tired of it. That is enough. No label required.
Sacred Whispers is the held work — the understanding, the making-sense-of-it, the nervous system education. F*CK Staying Silent is the action phase — the reclamation, the refusing to shrink, the taking-up-of-space. Many women move between them. Some start with one and find they always needed the other. Some stay in one indefinitely. There is no right order.
That depends on what you mean by ready. If you mean you're not sure of your words yet, or you're not sure you can explain it properly — you don't have to be. That is what the discovery call is for. If you mean you're not sure whether you want things to change — that is worth sitting with. But in my experience, the women who say they're not ready are often the ones who most need somewhere to go. Book the call. We'll work it out together.
I'm based in Wolverhampton. All coaching is delivered online — via Zoom or equivalent. This means I work with women across the UK and internationally. The work does not require you to be in the same room as me. It requires you to be willing to show up honestly, which you can do from anywhere.
A free discovery call. No pressure, no pitch. Just a conversation to see if working together makes sense.
